Debut writer-director Vishvak Khandero is set to release his first Telugu film ‘Skylab’ on December 4. The film is based on the actual event in which people believed in mid-1979 that NASA’s Skylab space station would crash and fall into the ocean. To Cape Town, South Africa.
This friction comedy-drama was co-produced by Nithya Menen. The cast includes Satya Dev, Rahul Ramakrishna, Vishnu Oi, Tulasi and Subbaraya Sharma and Nithya Menen.
In an interview, the director said: ‘I chose my grandmother’s village Bandalingampally for the story because it has a funny sound. The main characters are eccentric, and the story explores what happens when news of Skylab’s crash breaks out and the human psyche. The comedy is situational and in sync with the characters.”
“I never thought I’d get such a great set of actors for my first film. So now I’m curious to see how people react to Skylab,” he added.
